You can share audio on your WordPress.com blog in a variety of ways on your site. Here are the options we support:
These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog. Upload the file to your blog’s media library. You can edit/add/remove the Title, Artist, Caption, and Description of the audio file. When inserting into a post, make sure to select the Embed Media Player option for Embed or Link and then click the Insert into Post button (as illustrated in the image below). If your file is an .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav file, this will insert the audio player shortcode into your post or page.

Back at your site, enter the shortcode, which looks like this: [audio], with the address inside. For example:

You can upload the files to your site if you have the WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan.These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog. Embed audio
Add a link from your site to an outside audio file. Either upload an .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav file to a third-party server and link to it using our audio shortcode, or if you found an audio file elsewhere online, simply copy its URL.Back at your site, enter the shortcode, which looks like this: [audio], with the address inside. For example:
[audio http://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/istock_audio.wav ]
To loop your track or playlist, add
|loop=yes
to your shortcode like this:[audio http://en-support.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/istock_audio.wav|loop=yes]

Create a download link
Create a download link to a file hosted elsewhere. This will require your readers to save and play the sound file on their own computers. If you are uploading or linking to a file hosted elsewhere, please be sure to respect the wishes of the copyright holder.SoundCloud or Audiomack player
You can embed audio with the SoundCloud Audio Player. This will produce the following player:You can also use the Audiomack Audio Player.
Audio Playlists
You can add several mp3 files to create a playlist. Other file types are not supported at this time.Please note, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need the the Space Upgrade, which is included with the WordPress.com Premium and WordPress.com Business plans.Once your mp3 files are uploaded, a Create Audio Playlist tab will appear in the Add Media window.

From here, you can choose which audio files to include and insert into your post.

After you click Create a new playlist you will be taken to Edit Audio Playlist, where you can drag to reorder the tracks. You can also change your Playlist Settings to include or remove the Tracklist, Artist Name in Tracklist and images. Once that is set, click Insert audio playlist.

Embedding the playlist into your sidebar
- From Appearance → Widgets in your site’s Dashboard, add the Music Player widget into a widget area.
- Click the link to choose or upload your audio files.

Dark Styling & Customizing the Audio Player
You can toggle between the dark and the light color schemes by adding style=”dark” to your shortcode (which is generated with the playlist editor, above). For example:

For additional customization of your Audio Player, you can use the Custom Design upgrade to make your playlist look the way you want with CSS.
Additional Information
How can I edit the names, title, artist, or album of the songs?You can edit the names of your songs in your Media Library.
Can I add a playlist that plays just the first 30 seconds of each song?
The player will play the complete song.
I get a blank screen when I try to choose songs for the Music Player widget.
You may need to disable Accessibility Mode to choose songs for your Music Player widget. You can go to Appearance → Widgets in your site’s Dashboard, click the Screen Options tab in the upper right, and click Disable accessibility mode. Then, try choosing your songs in the Music Player widget again.
